The exhibition, curated by Lorena Gava and Roberto Piccin, aims to highlight the great passion for art of Antonio Bernardi (Revine Lago 1932- Conegliano 2017), General Manager of Banca Prealpi from 1966 to 1988.
He was a cultured and reserved man, painter, sculptor and collector. He has transferred his profound humanity and acute sensitivity to color and matter. To farsightedness in the professional field (his idea – which later proved successful – in the distant April of 1970, to incorporate the Casse Rurali e Artigiane di Montaner and Revine into the Cassa Rurale and Artigiana di Tarzo, later changed to Cassa Rurale and Artisan of the Prealps), Antonio Bernardi has been able to combine an emotional intelligence that in the artistic expression has found foundation, identity and creative urgency. Noteworthy is the production of paintings dedicated to the local landscape and still life and the creation of small sculptural groups in patinated terracotta, similar to bronze, with classic and mythological subjects.
The love for art has also found a strong and important voice in the collection of local and international works, testifying to an authentic and sincere vocation addressed to all horizons of beauty.
The exhibition and the catalog, published by Marsilio, document a significant and representative selection of the works created by Antonio Bernardi and part of his prestigious collection.
The exhibition can be visited with free admission from Saturday to Sunday, with hours: 10.00-12.30 and 15.00-19.00.
