Annibale Salsa in dialogue with Elena Casagrande of La Chiave di Sophia presents The Landscapes of the Alps
An exciting journey to discover the alpine landscapes with Annibale Salsa, a profound connoisseur of the high lands and real authority on the subject. Through his lens, the alpine landscape passes from being seen to being lived, becoming a living space. The landscapes of the Alps is the result of the continuous interaction over time between man and the mountain space: human activity leaves traces, which become signs, symbols, layered testimonies of stories and events. In other words, it is the human being who “makes the landscape”, and in it we can grasp the hybridization between nature and culture.

with the director Antonio Padovan
Lunar fable by Antonio Padovan (Finché c’è Prosecco c’è speranza), Il Grande Passo is part of the tradition of Italian comedy. Mario lives in Rome, Dario in Polesine. Mario has a hardware store, Dario a cottage. Mario follows the rules, Dario despises them. Sons of the same father and different mothers, Mario and Dario are brothers but have nothing in common. Far and unmatched, they only share the pain of paternal abandonment. The madness of Dario, the misunderstood genius of aerospace engineering, provokes their meeting despite himself. After an attempt to launch himself on the Moon ended with a burnt field and the sueing of the neighbor, Dario is sentenced to forced hospitalization but Mario’s providential intervention changes the course of events and points to the Moon.

The skin of the bear by Marco Segato (2016) – Comedy (92min)
with the presence of the director Marco Segato
A solid and cohesive film that manages to narrate with clarity and thrift the passage of power and skills that must take place between a father and a son, built through mutual ambushes that occasionally also involve a bear (very well filmed), functional to the formation of a man, or maybe even two. The harshness of the characters and landscapes is well served by a direction that rejects spectacularization without renouncing narrative accessibility, and the faces carved in the wood of the protagonists contribute to the story more than their meager and shy words.

MEETING WITH THE AUTHOR
Andrea Bianchi presents The cold way to happiness (Vallardi) and With the earth under your feet (Mondadori)
Why, and how, a walk with bare feet in the spaces of an ancient garden, on the snow and on the high altitude Dolomite rocks or along the parched hills of an island in Greece can make us return to children, again in contact with the primordial energies of a Mother Earth to whom our life is intimately connected? Andrea Bianchi helps us to answer this question through a journey in nature, but also towards the deep roots of our soul: by removing our shoes to remove any possible filter from contact with natural elements, we will find ourselves on a path whose invisible trace emerges Step by step. A journey and a story after which you will leave immediately in search of the closest grass path to take off your shoes, and walk with the Earth under your feet.

MEETING WITH THE AUTHOR
Francesco Vidotto presents The deer and the child (Minerva)
The story of a deer killed by a hunter hunting with his five-year-old son; the child strongly embraces the animal’s neck at the end of its life, which thus decides to speak to the white soul of the child to tell him how he learned to know the man during the long years of life spent in the woods.
A short but intense text that, in a few pages, moves a veiled criticism of the relationship between human beings, nature and animals, showing us how the latter never judge us even when we wrong them and how very often children are the wisest between us.
